AutoLocation Geofence requires stop / start to work properly

    Hi,
    I am running Lineage OS 14.1 on a Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro.
    More often than note when I get to work I need to go into autolocation and stop and start the geofence service before it will recognise that I am inside the geofence. I have set the geofence to the maximum size but that doesn't seem to have helped.
    I tried clearing the app data on Autolocation and reconfiguring my geofences but that hasn't helped.

    Hi there. Unfortunately Geofences are kind of like a black box for me, sorry! Google manages them and I just report what the system tells me. More info here: https://joaoapps.com/autolocation/faq/
    What you can do is enable the option to make the location monitor help the geofence monitor in the main AutoLocation app under "Advanced" and then also enable the location monitor when you need it.

    I see the same problem, and I have that option enabled.
    Unfortunately Geofences are kind of like a black box for me​
    As a developer doesn't Google provide support when your customers are seeing problems like this?

    Is it possible to somehow stop and start the geofence monitor / location monitor in a task?

    Yes, you can use the "AutoLocation Geofences" action in Tasker to do that.
