    Hello,

I'd like to build an app out of a Tasker Project with a Profile triggered by an Autoshare command.
When I export the Project as App, I don't get the option to choose the newly built app with the Share command.
Would you know if it's possible to have this option when exporting a Project as an app?

    Thanks a lot!

Unfortunately no, it'll always have to go through AutoShare. Sorry!

    Oh what a bummer!
But thanks for such a quick reply, as always.

May I know why? Is it because the Tasker App Factory is limiting the Android manifest customization?

Because when you create an app you're still using AutoShare :) You can't use exported apps with the plugins you use in their tasks/profiles.

Hi @joamgxd, thanks for your hard work on these plugins. I do believe this is incorrect. Other Tasker plugins correctly and fully allow exporting apps along with any plugins that are used. Just as a quick example but not the only one, the "Secure Settings" plugin allows you to export an app along with the plugin functionality together as one APK. I am not sure it is reasonable that we would have to buy the plugins for every device the exported app is used under.

Please let me know your thoughts on this, thanks.

That is incorrect. Plugins are never exported together with apps. You always have to install them too. :)
