    would any of you be interested in an IRC-Channel? So people could exchange ideas or provide help on a fast track.

    If enough people could get together I'd write up a quick tutorial and register a channel on freenode.

    IMHO an IRC channel would be useless at this point. We're not enough people to populate it 24/7. I can bet that most of the time we'd be less than 5 people connected, out of which one might answer you in the first 30 minutes.
    I believe that most of us don't have the time to pay attention to an IRC channel.
    Let's not dilute this community!

    I think a hangout would be better since we all have a gmail account.....
