Open No notifications in Chrome but can hear notification sound

I have this weird issue where the diagnostics are successful on both my phone and in chrome but there are no notifications in chrome. I can hear the notification sound.
I have tried reinstalling the app and the extension.

 

I have exact problem also.
Did same troubleshooting.

 

Just a small update. I have reinstalled chrome and the problem still persists.

 

There was an update to Google Chrome that, at least on Windows 10, switches away from chrome notifications and instead now uses windows notifications for the same thing. If you're running Windows 10, you can check your "Notification & Actions" settings under the section "Get notifications from these senders" to check if Google Chrome notifications are turned off, if they are, that's probably your issue.
