I have Gmail Buttons enabled through AutoNotification, and the notification comes up just as it should, instead of the normal Gmail notif. Problem is, the buttons I set to appear on the notification don't perform as intended. Mark as read and delete seem to not do what they are supposed to periodically.

    Anyone else having this issue?

So, to be clear, they sometimes work, sometimes they don't?

Yes, exactly. I'll open the Gmail app later and notice that some emails either weren't marked as read or deleted even though I selected that option

I'm having/had the same issue - Pixel Xl latest OTA.

Seems mine stopped completely after the last OTA rolled out, possibly coincidental. Sadly for me none of the buttons perform their intended functions

I'm on Marshmallow and they don't even show up for me after the latest update.

@Laural Hill does your email address show up in the Gmail notifications somewhere?

Not exactly sure what you mean? In an AN Query, my email address is in %ansubtext when I get a new email. But that's from the default Gmail app, since the AutoNotification Gmail notifications aren't appearing at all. Running Android 6.0.1 (and to be fair having some other issues with the phone) .

Can you please let me know if you bought this feature separately or did you buy AutoNotification as a whole? Thanks!

I bought AutoNotification, didn't even know there was another option heh.

FYI, due to other issues I had to factory reset my phone, and AN is still not doing anything with my Gmail notifications. That is, it sees them in Tasker, and can block on filters, but the notifications themselves are from Gmail still. Basically anything in the Gmail Buttons section doesn't seem to work at all, I have "remove original" marked and I still get the email notifications from Gmail.

Same here. PixelXL, latest OTA security update and a gmail update from the 14th.
The autonotification log isnt showing that it is even seeing gmail notifications coming in anymore...

That might be something to do with it... Looking at how they are appearing after the latest Google updates it looks like the notification only shows who from and not which account they are to, just "Gmail"... on mine there are three accounts on the phone..

This is a screenshot of one that came in, with the gmail notification expanded to show everything it has in it. Hope that helps[IMG]

Oh, that's most likely the issue! :O Your email should appear there instead of "Gmail"! That's what made the whole thing work in the first place :( So there's no way to get the email to show up there again?

Haven't found a setting for that yet.. Pretty bad of Google to change that... Even without autonotification using that field, it makes it impossible to tell which account the alert is for when you have multiple... Hopefully they put it back

Maybe you could try telling them that? :) That would probably help! Thanks!

    Also replied on google+.
Installed that and the buttons work! It has a ghost alert above the email one... Not sure why... I'll see if it happens on the other accounts on the phone too.. [IMG]

FYI it works on my new phone with 7.0, although occasionally when I get a few emails concurrently, one will be AN and the other Gmail notifications.

And my email address was showing up in %ansubtext.

For me it's not working at all on android 7.0 (stock samsung S7).

It did work fine until about a month ago and stopped working completely.
    I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling.
I have confirmed permissions are correct and single gmail account added/readded.
I have also tried your custom build in the above post:
Any ideas? Alternatively, do you have a custom profile/project for Tasker available so we can use the Auto Notification plugin to replace the Gmail notification in the same way manually?

Here is a screenshot of the Gmail notification:
