    Hello,

I'm trying to automatically press buttons on a notification when it arrives. I currently have intercept setup for the app as the trigger, which works, but the actions do not and when I set an Alert to show "%anbutton1action()" it is blank. This is relatively new, it has worked in the past.

Maybe the app you're using it with has changed?

No, it seems to be pretty consistent across all of my tasks. I just setup a new one with Google Play Music as a test to press the pause button, see album. https://imgur.com/a/Lr8ZrOo

The action alert used to have a number. It's happening in more than Google Play Music and it used to work, I know I setup a task on July 10 that worked fine. It doesn't matter if it's an intercept or a query, the variables are empty.

Are those all the variables? No variable at all has any value? Even %antext?

It seems to just be action IDs: https://imgur.com/a/JpOtj0H

In my Popup I have: anapp: "%anapp()" anbutton3text: "%anbutton3text()" anbutton3action: "%anbutton3action()" and action isn't displaying. I tested antitle(), antext(), all other button texts, etc. and they all worked.

What if you enable the option to get all actions? Do those variables work?

That seems to work! I enabled "Get all fields". That wasn't required before and doesn't seem like it should be required. I'll keep testing it and let you know if it works throughout the day.

EDIT: seems to be working now.

This happens if non-standard notifications are used.. Seems like this is the case now!

Thanks, but even Google Play Music is a non-standard notification? Or is it something system wide on Samsung phones?

To bump this, it has stopped working even with "Get All Fields" selected. I have changed nothing with the tasks.

I have even made a fresh task as a test, with just "Apps: Google Play Music" and "Get All Fields" as the query and the action fields were blank.

Can you please export your task's description (not xml) so I can take a look? Long-click the task in Tasker->export description Thanks in advance
