I bought this yesterday, after using it for a few hours, I realized I can sms from my laptop which is great, but no way to copy/paste a text? No way to open an mms photo? and no emojis? If all this is true, which so far is my experience, then this app needs a boat load of work. These seem like the most simple and basic of functions for a texting app. Any feedback?

This app also does not bring the newest sms/mms to the top or let you know there is a new text... very disappointed.

Another problem with win 10 app is it stops working. When I first installed it, it would not open, I had to reboot my computer. After a day or so of using, it began showing the same symptoms in that it would start to open but before I could log in, it would self close. Just reporting. I would like to hear from others or the Dev. concerning these problems as I would like to use this on my win 10 laptop.

Hi there. The Windows 10 app does miss some features like copying the SMS text, sorry about that.

However, it should be able to show MMS and emojis. What does it show in place of the emojis for example?

About notifying you about a new text, you have to enable your device to receive SMS messages in the Android app's settings, did you do that?

There is no icon for emojis at all... and it doesn't show mms... I would reinstall it but MS store installed it for me instead of letting me download it. There is something wrong, it won't even load now. Is there somewhere I can get a copy of so I can reinstall. Don't like the MS Store and I do have a receipt. I don't want to go through the MS Store as they charged me twice but did refund one.

Unfortunately the app is really only available through the Microsoft store, sorry! Are you able to uninstall the app from windows and then reinstall it again from the store?

Don't know, but it seems like I will have the same results. I hate that a "store" has control of apps for this very reason. And will re-installing it from there enable the functions that you state will be there? It was installed by them in the first place. I just went to MS store and it shows it installed, but there is no way to un-install it. No option. And when I go to settings/apps in win10 it doesn't even show up to uninstall it. When will you be able to fix the app?

I verified that apps bought on ms store cannot be un-installed. What rocket scientist came up with that BS? Seems once you have it, it is forever...hope they allow updates... sheesh

You can uninstall the Windows 10 apps from the Windows settings. Check "Add or Remove Programs"

I've been using Join successfully for quite a long time, but recently the Windows 10 MS Store app has started doing this. Restarting desktop solves the problem temporarily, connecting without signing in, but then it soon starts crashing again. It's not consistent, and often crashes before reaching the login prompt. Uninstalling and reinstalling the Win10 app doesn't help.

Thanks for the report. Would you say that started with the latest windows update?

Not sure. Best guess is that it's been happening for past 4-12 weeks, but could be longer.

Not true, it is not listed as one of the installed programs. Since you are charging for this app it would be nice if we could actually use it. It is crashing quite often for me too. Before the login screen it crashes and disappears. I have to reboot to get it to work.

I try my best to get it working for everyone, believe me... I just can't replicate your situation myself.
If you open the Windows Store, does it show the app as installed?

Here Windows Store does show the app installed. From the Windows event log:

I think "replicate" is not necessary since it seems to be doing pretty much the same thing for others. Here are my problems.
    1. Doesn't load sometimes at all, crashes on startup.
    2. doesn't allow copy/paste
    3. No emojis at all.
    4. doesn't alert to new posts
    5. Doesn't bring new posts to the top.
    6. New posts do not show up at all unless I back out of the person I am chatting with and bring them back up.
    7. Doesn't show up in apps for delete/reinstall
    8. windows store doesn't allow for delete/reinstall.

So at the is point. What am I to think? Pretty bad for windows 10 ... although good in Chrome on Win 10 and good in Android. Why is it that works in Chrome on Win 10 but not on win 10 as an app? Makes no sense to me. Again, would be nice to use it, I mostly use it for texting from my laptop, but not fun anymore, so may have to go back to PushBullet, sorry to say.

Thanks for the reminder. I'd forgotten about the web interface, which does enough that I can use it till the Win 10 app is fixed.

    It does for me.

Weird, I saw some other posts online where the poster stated that they also couldn't delete and reinstall the app. I looked again and nowhere to find a place to delete/reinstall.

Replicating is necessary because I can't reproduce some of those situations while others are a product of the platform's shortcomings. Believe it or not, a Windows 10 Store app is much more restricted than a Chrome extension in some ways.

I'll try figuring it out, thanks!
