Hi! This has been a long time coming :) Finally a new Join is out.

    Here's the changelog:

    • Updated target API to 27
    • Added Notification Category support
    • Fixed showing messaging history in notifications for Whatsapp and other messaging apps.
    • Fixed phone numbers not appearing for phone calls in Android P
    • Fixed ending phone calls in Android P
    • Added ability to start an Android intent via push
    • Added own device name and id variables in the Device Query action for Tasker
    • Fixed sending pre-filled in values for Join Actions in some situations
With the change to targeting API 27 I had to introduce Notification Category. This means that all your Join API notifications will now use a default "Pushed Notification" category.

If you want to customize this set the category parameter in the Join API URL.

Let me know how everything works! Thanks :)

    Thanks for the update.
Problem I have found with this is that the icons for a new join message doesn't appear on the notification area on my OnePlus 6. Everything else is fine, pulling down the notification area the message shows up and I can reply etc. to everything as normal. Looked in the settings but I've not changed anything.

I have the same problem on an Android 8 Moto g5 phone. The messages appear to be treated as low priority or like a persistent notification that does not appear in the notification bar at the top but do appear in the notification list when expanded. This is different to the previous version.

    Fixed now thanks

However, I seem to keep having to re-register my device every few days and reset token when I did this time both my phones oneplus 6 and pixel 2 XL couldn't rename the device it was saying that I don't own it. Has managed to do it via the Chrome extension however just thought it was a little curious.
