    Galaxy Note 4
    AT&T
    NOT rooted (no root available)

I am having issues getting autoinput to work at all. I simply want a tasker task to open an app (MyQ from Liftmaster) and tap in the middle of the screen to open/close the garage door.

    Tasker includes 3 steps:
    1) Open MyQ
    2) Wait 5 seconds (to ensure app is open)
    3) Autoinput action of:
    Type: Point
Value: 719 1177 (which is the center of the garage door icon)
    Action: Click

I have the phone set to show me clicks. When I run the task I get no click. I have replaced the MyQ app with Pandora to ensure it isn't an app issue with the same results. I simply get no "click" anywhere on the screen. Tasker shows a green dot that teh portion of the task ran, but it does nothing. Does anyone have any idea why a simple click doesn't work?

Ok, idiot here. Can I just say the documentation is a bit lacking?

For someone who finds this thread, the issue is that I have no comma in my X,Y coordinates. They need to say "719,1177"

It is not working with the MyQ app. I can confirm I am able to make it click on the launcher to open apps with the right coordinates but in the MyQ app it will not create a click or tap on the garage door icon. By the same token, it will tap album art in Pandora but will not click the play/pause button. Any ideas?

If you have no root why not just input tap with a shell and your coordinates?

    if you mean:

    run shell -> input tap x y

Doesn't seem to do anything without root.

Unfortunately there is no root for the AT&T variant of the Note 4, I believe because of Knox.

Ok, the accessibility service might explain why I'm having trouble doing the last click on the Netflix app the start the movie.

I know this is an old thread but I made this work by simply inserting a Tasker task wait 6 sec between open MyQ and click point on my Galaxy S8 running Android 8. This also worked to click in Chrome, etc.

: click, point, no root
