I have a task that disables my ring alarm in the morning:

    Context:
    Between 7am – 10am
    If notification *Ring alarm*entry delay*landing*
    If Wifi connected *mywifi*

    Variable set %AUTOALARMDISABLE to %Time %Date
    Autoinput Turnon
    Autoinput unlock screen
    Launch app – Ring
    Wait 4 seconds
    Autoinput action *click disarm*
    Wait 4 seconds
    Autoinput action *click disarm*
    Wait 4 seconds
    Autoinput action *click disarm*

When I try the task, it works fine. However, in the morning it never works. I have accurate alarms enabled in tasker and battery optimization turned off for both tasker and autoinput.

Can anyone offer any help why it doesn’t work when required?

Can you please export your profile's description (not xml) so I can take a look? Long-click the profile in Tasker->export description Thanks in advance

Just to add I'm not sure if this is an issue with autoinput or a taker issue. I have other tasks that work when a notification is received and as far as I'm aware still work in the early hours. I couldn't say for sure if there any delay in them firing though.

I still can't get this to work properly. It works fine once the phone is up and running, but after a full night it won't activate on its own.

Can anyone offer a reason why? Is something being put to sleep? I sometimes get a message like "autoinput cannot unlock screen in current state", but am not sure if that relates to this. Maybe the alarm triggered notification isn't coming through. What a pain.

Hi again. Just to clarify are you using a lock screen where you need to input a code or something like that to unlock it?

I use pattern lock screen and smart lock. Could the lock screen be enabling after period of no use and thwarting autoinput?

I will try disabling all lock tonight and see if it works.

Saying that the variable at the very start doesn't seem to set indication the task hasn't run at all.

Yes, that's probably it. After some time you need to input credentials again and smart lock won't work unfortunately...

Well it seems the task will now run in the morning. Today it fired as expected (though I'm not sure why it hasn't seemed to previously). The pattern lock screen is engaged by morning time, so that is likely where it fails.

Is there a way round this?

I would be interested in a solution, too. For a very similar profile.. :)
Already tried several plug-ins, too. Official as well as third-party ones.

I use a task that turns on my screen, then autoinput swipes up and then inputs my lockscreen code. But only at certain times and also if connected to my WiFi and certain other Bluetooth devices.

It saves me messing with lockscreen settings and works really well...

Unsure if something like that could be added before your current task ?

I already switched from pattern to code input. I think it would be a possible workaround for me, if you are willing to share? :)
