Solved Android Shortcut - Join SMS

    Looking for quick access to Join SMS messaging on my Tablet. I frequently am away from my Phone but would still like to send SMS messages. It is a bit of a hassle on my Tablet to open Join, press Hamburger panel, SMS, etc.

    Instead, I'm looking for a way to streamline this process...just plain make it quicker and easier to send SMS messages through Join on Android. Tasker, Activities, Intents.....none of these seem to help me do this faster.

    Any feature or shortcut we could get implemented to make this quick...hmmm....Maybe I can link up AutoContacts, Autoshare, Join, and Tasker to make something really slick. I dunno.

    FYI....every time I update join, I have to re-create any of these Remote SMS shortcuts. Pretty annoying, dunno if you can fix that.

    Tested. Issue persists.

    What I did:
    1. Download your test version
    2. Opened the test apk and updated Join.
    3. Press on pre-existing Remote SMS shortcut.
    4. Join opens to Main Page (not Remote SMS page).

    Just noticed something weird too...... The shortcut opens to the main app page.... But STRANGELY, the text at the top right next to the Hamburger menu says "Remote SMS".

    It's like the app thinks it's in the Remote SMS window, when it actually isn't.

    I see this when I try to get to the menu a hack Tasker intent way using

    com.joaomgcd.join.activity.ActivityCreateSmsShortcut

    Creating a fresh Remote SMS shortcut still works though.... But the pre-existing shortcuts still don't work right

    Sorry, you need to create a new shortcut with the version I sent you :) Should've mentioned that. Thanks again

    After creating new shortcuts.......I should not have to do it ever again then, right? In other words, say you push a Join update in a couple days and I update the app. The pre-existing Remote SMS shortcuts will still be valid.....

    Yes, what I'm saying is that from this version forward they will always be valid cause I fixed a bug :) thanks again
