    hey @joaomgcd

Sorry to bug you. I am new to tasker but what you describe here is exactly what I am trying to accomplish… I downloaded both this .xml and the google drive xml and attempted to import them into tasker both as a profile and a task but neither worked…

I guess I am missing the fundamentals on how to utilise these files…

Do I need some other tasker addons?

Any chance you can help or point me in the right direction…

    Cheers

@joaomgcd then i presume once i have autoweb installed and the google drive api loaded into it i will need to
    1. somehow load your .xml into tasker (currently not working) updated ok i managed to get this step done
    2. then get %par1 to be loaded with the file name and path
    3. run the task
    4. and %par2 should then be populated with the shareable link
    5. i can then use %par2 to feed other tasks...
just for clarity i am trying to use this with your other xml
Get Direct Share URL (Dropbox, Google Drive) 1.1.1

Thank you @joaomgcd almost 100% now.

Question though, for %par2 is there a way to not specify a file name but just a destination... I am using %FOTO for %par1 with a series naming convention...

Also a bit confused as to what to use %folderId for... Do I need that if I am specifying the folder in %par2?

    Thanks for your support...

@joaomgcd let me try explain in more detail as i just reread the above and its not very clear - apologies.
I first run Find Drive Folder ID which created a folder in my Google Drive and returns a %folderid (i do not know where to use this)
Then i run Direct Link Google Drive with
    Parameter 1 being %FOTO
Parameter 2 is meant to be the destination location... this is where i do not know what to add, in essence i want the last taken photo (defined in Parameter 1) to be uploaded to the folder created and identified in the Find Drive Folder ID with the file name as it is in Parameter 1.

I hope this is more clear but if not please let me know...

    Thanks in advance

Ok, I just updated the project :) If you now use a folder as %par2 (ending the path with /) it'll keep the original file name.

    Hope this helps!

Nope, just set %par1 as the local file path and %par2 as the remote folder path ending with / :)
Find Drive Folder ID is run internally in the action, no need for you to run it manually!

@joaomgcd Sorry for being stupid but can someone tell me what profile they use to get the task to run. I want to be able to select a file in file manager and then add it to the task. Would I use an autoshare command that sets %asfile as %par1?

To select a file from a file manager use the AutoTools Dialog -> File action :)
