I am trying to create a profile that responds to noise levels and adjusts the volume of my Chromecast accordingly. Possible?

Do you mean the system wide volume?

No there is something in the Chromecast with its own volume. I experimented with all the volumes and none affect it. I can only manipulate the Chromecast volume by having Netflix, Google Play Movies or YouTube casting and in the foreground using the volume buttons. If it is tied to any of the main volumes tasker is unable to change them while casting, but it seems to change them just fine.

I found one that shows the Chromecast volume icon next to the slider and it works almost globally. If you cast something with HBOGo and use the volume buttons it shows up.

Starf1337, have you managed to do anything about this? I'm curious how did you determine the noise level and how accurate is it.

Unfortunately not. I do not think most devs are aware of the separate channel yet. Just have to wait. However, I was able to get it semi working on a phone with Cyanogen Mod by simulating the physical buttons for volume but the context has to be right.
