I cant get join to unlock on my brand new Nvidia Shield tv 2.
When i install it it links to my account and i can see the shield on my other devices.
But it says that the trial period is over and i have to unlock it.
I have it unlocked on several other devices, and i guess it should unlock automaticly even on the Shield?

Are you maybe not using the same account on the NVidia (not in Join) as you did when you first purchased the app?

I am using the same account as when purchase.
    See images.
There are allso some screens that i cant navigate in.
The new Shield seem to be lacking the mouse pointer support on the right stick of the controller.
And some of the screens is not navigateble with the left hand buttons (devices screen is one of them)
But still the unlocking is the primary error..
    Image1 Image2 Image3 Image4 Image5 Image6 Image7
I think Image6 gives a idea of the problem.

The account you sign in in Join is not related to the account that's used for purchasing unfortunately. I don't have a way to control that. If you have multiple accounts then that is probably the issue: it's trying to unlock with the other account on your device. You have to be able to install the app with the account that purchased the app before.

I found the problem with unlock!
I was doing the sideload of JOIN wrong when i was using ES Fileesxplorer.
When i clicked the .apk file i was choosing "install" instead of "play store"
I tried it again and now with the "play store" way, and the JOIN app is now unlocked directly.
Thank you joaomgcd for your allways quick response and that you bare with us noobs and all our questions..
Now there is only the navigation problem, but that is not a big deal for me, i can now use JOIN for some onscreen notifications..

    Great to know! :) Thanks!
Don't forget to rate the app on Google Play if you haven't done so already ;) Thanks in advance!

I have the exact same problem. I sideloaded the join app on the Nvidia shield TV and it won't login. it simply says "couldn't sign in, is there a valid network connection? Im not sure what happened as I installed it several times in the past on a Android shield device and it always worked flawlessly. Your help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for another report. I just wish I could replicate this. It all still works for me. Do you have a way to check your Google Play Services version on the Shield?
