I'm using Autovoice in non continuous mode, so I'm starting it from Tasker or with my home button when I want to say a command. The problem is, when I'm in a noisy environment, like in my car, or with other people around me, Autovoice doesn't properly recognize when I'm done speaking. It will often continue listening for several seconds before it stops and starts executing my tasks. Is there a way to improve this?
When I tap on the microphone in the popup or hit the back button, autovoice stops, but then no commands are executed. So that's no use. It would be nice if there would be a button to stop autovoice listening without cancelling the commands it registered until then.
Or is there a way to improve autovoice's handling of noise?

Unfortunately google doesn't give me much control over how that part of the voice recognition works... I ask it to start recognizing and after a while it brings me back some results... have you tried with the Google assistant? How does that work for you?

No I haven't, cause I like all my voice commands processed with Tasker...

Ah thanks, I didn't know that. However, most of my commands generate variables, which appears not to work. So that's a no go for me.

Would it be possible to use both? For instance use Google for continuous listening or assigned to a hardware button, and use Autovoice bound to a different HW button?

Hmm, but you can also use variables with the assistant commands :)

I don't understand. Doesn't this clip say it can't be done?

Oh, that's just for shortcuts. :) If you use the regular "Ask autovoice to" commands, variables will work :)
