AutoInput Screen Lock

I'm trying to use Autowear and Autoinput to be able to toggle Airplane mode and NFC on the phone (no root) from the watch. I've read a few threads about the Samsung lock screen issue. Has a workaround been determined for this that would allow unlocking the screen for Autoinput while the screen is off, on swipe to unlock (smart lock when connected to watch)? I'm trying to be able to do this without touching the phone.
