Does not seem to sort from best to worst... do I need to disconnect completely from wifi first? Tried using this to auto change to best wifi in my house. Most often it choose one with poor signal

You shouldn't need to disconnect... Did you notice that the signal strenghts are in negative values?

Hi! Is there any way to prioritize 5GHz over 2.4GHz?

Hmm, I don't know actually because I don't have a 5GHz network myself. Can you check if any info in the Wifi list says whether it's a 5GHz or 2.4GHz network?

It doesn't work... The task always gives me the name of the first router that I connected to. I replicated the task twice, just in case I was doing something wrong, and nope... Always got the SSID name of the original router that I was connected to when I ran the task. No switching because it doesn't recognize the best router at all (and I am stepping 2 inches away from the routers when I tested this.)

Could you please show me the list you get? I always get it ordered by signal strength myself... :/

Instead of using the ssid is it possible to use the 5GHz Wi-Fi MAC Address:
The problem being Mesh network uses the same ssid for both bands

Hey. FYI. The word "Available" is misspelled in the title to this thread. Just thought you'd like to know.:)

    Hi, Thanks for this.
I want to modify the action a bit to connect to "best wifi network that has internet access", is there any way to do it??

I think checking for internet connection via AutoTools and then modifying the %atwifi value. Any help plz??

Got it!! Getting an array is as simple as just adding two brackets to variable %ssid.
Now i want to check whether the ssid is saved (previously logged in) or open network.

Hey! Thanks for sharing! Eachthe task, it seems that it connects
    Hey! Thanks for sharing!
Each time I run the task, it seems that it connects to all the saved networks on the list one by one.
When I choose the option to forget one of the networks it works for the saved one.
Do you have any clue on how I might solve this?

Hello. I have followed the instructions as described, however, when I run the task The flash just lists "%ssid" and the network does not switch. I'm sure I'm doing something small wrong, but I can't figure it out. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Make sure AutoTools has location permission for this to work.

Hi! I can't seem to get it to work on my phone at the most basic level... With AutoTools | Connectivity | WiFi | SSID. It doesn't switch to the new SSID. I did already give AutoTools (and Tasker) permission for Location. Anything else I need to do? Phone is now on Android 10, which I know messed up a few things so just wondering if others have it working on Android 10 too.

Hhmm, it still works for me on Android 10... The network has to have its credentials already set before that works. Is that the case?

Yes, the SSIDs are my access points and I manually toggle between them daily. Was hoping to use Tasker/AutoTools to automate the switch. Let me know if you need more info!

Just did more testing. It seems to work but not all cases. My 2 SSIDs are MyNet and MyNet2. I can get it to switch from MyNet2 to MyNet, but not the other way around. What could be causing that?
