This is actually pretty damn useful. Here I've been doing it the hard way this whole time by having to manually calculate how many times I need AutoInput to hit the back button. This sure simplifies things. So much to the point that I can now just have this one task from any task that I may need. Less tasks/work in the long run, can't beat that.

So true. I finally got round to getting AutoInput (my loss!) and this task is now in all the tasks I've created so far.

    Nice, as always, JD.

I am still scratching my head to understand how is this different from a simple Global Autoinput back action? can you give me an idea of when you use this?

@fenchai a simple Global AutoInput back action presses the back button once. This will press it as many times as needed to exit the current app. Hope this helps

This doesn't seem to work with lollipop. It just gets caught in a loop. It only backs out of tasker. Can anyone help?

It works for me on lollipop. What app did you use it with?

Probably because you are running the Tasker UI at the time. It will back out of whatever is running in the foreground (including Tasker).
I think this is intended to run when you automatically opened an app, do something with autoinput and then want to back out, running a nav program and stop driving, etc.

In a Task add the "Perform Task" action and choose the imported Task under Task name :)

Do other tasks appear when you use the Perform Task action?
