    Hi,

I'm trying to set up EventGhost for Autoremote.

The problem starts when configuring the plugin in eventghost. When entering my personal URL for my Xperia Z2, it immediately says 'invalid URL' in the ' device key' box, as you can see in the printscreen: EG printscreen.png

I've also tried putting ' http://' in front of the URL and repairing the URL in AR, with no avail. I can add the device, but when executing the action ' register EventGhost' it never shows up in my AR devices and nothing shows up in the log.

I also tried doing what you suggested in this old thread: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/joaomgcd/UOReyA20nR8. You suggested an URL, replacing EG_NAME with my eventghost name and entering my long key. It then appears in my AR devices. But when sending messages to EG nothing happens.

    Am I doing something wrong?
    Thanks!

And I'm sorry, I see now I have posted this in an entirely wrong topic.

    Hi :)
It will only really know if it's a valid url after you exit the "Device Personal URL" text box. It'll only check then :) Did you try that?

ah that is awesome, it works, thanks for responding so quick :)
I think I got the old plugin from the Autoremote desktop app, which had a feature built in downloading the plugin for EG.

I have exactly the same problem that Teun had. I have had 2 devices registered and communicating perfectly with Eventghost for months. When I tried to add a new device, I encountered this problem. Since, then I've tried another device and have the same issue. I uninstalled and reinstalled Eventghost, got the most updated plugin that joamgcd posted above and still no luck. Is there anything else I should be doing?

If you go to your personal URL, does it work? Do you go to a valid URL?
