Thanks for the report. Is maybe Tasker not detecting that Waze was started?

I have a similar issue. Tasker does recognize that Waze is running and I will see my flash message of GPS On but it doesn't seem to actually be on until I exit Waze and then start Waze a second time.

Hmm, do you maybe have a different task that turn the GPS off?

Then it probably has to do with Tasker not properly detecting the opened app. Can that be it?

I think so, but why I do not know. It performs the task of connecting (inbound task) and then executes the off (exit task) task, as if the app had been closed.

Can you try flashing the %WIN variable when the exit task runs and see what it thinks the app is?

    Yes, I'm portuguese :)
Add a "Flash" action in the exit task and use %WIN as the text.

Pois, parece que o Tasker não está a conseguir detetar bem qual a app que está ativa :/

This profile works fine with Google Maps, but not with Waze. When I first launch Waze, I get the expected flash alert "Turning location on..." So far, so good. But once Waze settles in and I type in a destination address, then tap "Go", Waze displays a message "Waze is connecting to GPS..." (sometimes followed by "Searching Network..."), followed about 10 seconds later by "No GPS -- Showing approximate location." And that message stays onscreen the whole time Waze is running, even though the GPS is really on (I double-checked this with the Location Quick Setting). When I finally turn Waze off, I do get the flash alert "Turning location off..."
So it appears that even though the GPS was on, somehow Waze couldn't connect to it. Any ideas? [I'm on a Samsung Galaxy S7 running Nougat.]

Hi, first of all, thanks for your great work!

The profile works for me with Google Maps, but sometimes, the turn-GPS-on message still shows up in Maps (although the profile is activated and GPS is turned on at this point). Seems like the message from Google maps is kind of faster than the profile. Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

Unfortunately that part can't be controlled... Maybe you can use AutoInput to dismiss that message?
