    Hi all!

New to Tasker and struggling to find how can I change the Ambient Screen On/Off option?

(Found in State that the power state AC, so I think finding how to toggle Ambient should solve my problem)

Help would be appreciated, thanks for your kind attention!

P.S. had purchased pro version but it did not help me for now :)

Hi there. Maybe you can try using the "Custom Setting" action for that. Try using the Magnifying glass in the action with the option to automatically find the setting and see if Tasker can find it. Hope this helps! :)

Hi, and many thanks for your answer!

Used the find option - and after toggling the desired option as suggested by the app, I found out that it's called doze_always_on !

Googling ' tasker "doze_always_on" ' gave me this https://www.reddit.com/r/tasker/comments/7cjmcw/ambient_display_pixel_2/ (quoted in italic below for the reference)

So now I almost have it but need to enable Autotools permissions via adb - will try this later and report how it went!

You can toggle ambient display on/off in Tasker with Autotools plugin. Refer to this tutorial: Find Custom Settings To Use in AutoTools Secure Settings (https://forum.joaoapps.com/index.ph...ings-to-use-in-autotools-secure-settings.210/)

Thank you! This worked for me. For anyone with the same question:

    • New Task
    • Plugin -> Autotools -> Secure Settings
    • Configure
    • Custom Setting
    • Setting Type = "Secure"
    • Name = "doze_always_on"
    • Input Type = "Int"
    • Value = "0" OFF/ "1" ON

But you should be able to simply change it with Tasker itself using the action you used to find it :)
