Solved Android No Longer Recieving Pushes

UPDATE: Nevermind. It WAS being 'optimised' by Samsung. Turned that off in the settings and now works fine.

Hi João. Firstly, thank you for such a great suite of apps - my life would be a lot less automated without them !

For some reason after using the app for months without any problems, Join stopped receiving push notifications last night on my Samsung S8+ with the following error:

"Send the developer an email with this error: Not allowed to start service Intent { act=com.joaomgcd.autoapps.ACTION_SEND_COMMAND cmp=com.joaomgcd.autoappshub/.service.ServiceThirdPartyCommands (has extras) }: app is in background uid null"

The diagnostics in the Join app fails the 3 recieve push items.

I've tried the following, with no fix ;
- Gone though all the phone settings and nothing should be putting the app to sleep
- I haven't got any third party battery saving apps installed
- tested on WiFi and 4G
- deleted the Join app data and cache
- uninstalled and reinstalled the Join app
- reset GCM tokens via the diagnostics
- installed the heartbeat fixer app and enabled it.

The first error occurred after sending a push from NodeRed this morning but I haven't been able to receive pushes from any other devices since.

Any ideas would be most appreciated!

I've sent and received a few pushes with that version you sent without any problems so far.
I'll let you know if I get any errors over the next few days.

 

I tried this version to resolv my problem (posted on reddit) and now the command is sent, but no longer exchange variables between my devices. I maybe install the same version on all devices? Thanks.
