AutoVoice AutoVoice not picking up commands in Ok Google screen

Hi all,
I have an LG G5 with stock Android 7.0 running. A few days back I activated my 7 day trial of AutoVoice (ive been using Tasker for a few months now) but I can not get AV to pick up commands in the Ok Google screen. They do work if I tap the Recognize 'button' that I can place on my home screen.

I've looked at all the tutorials on how to set everything up and redid everything several times but to no avail. In my notification pulldown it even says ; intercepting google app searches'.

'AV Google Now Intergration' is enable in accessibility, AV has the green text stating I can use AV in Google Now. Can anyone help me sort this out? If I can get it working I'll obviously buy the full version but I dislike that it currently only works if I hit the recognize button.
