AutoTools Bottom Buttons WebScreen - Background Color not working

I try to change background color for the bottom button webscreen preset....it doesn't seem to do anything.....seems like a bug

I can change the icon/text color with HTML formatting fine.

 

I was told by George Boyce over in Google+ page that this isn't a bug but just a feature which is lacking.

I would like to request the ability to change the card background color on the Bottom Buttons Webscreen Preset.
