To preface: I have created and implemented, in no particular order, the following services: A clyp.it MP3 Link: https://clyp.it/34upxb51 A Google drive MP3 Link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1oSwU2lriLJyIUJ-MOzB4pdmh5-QEuLQn/view A SoundCloud track: https://soundcloud.com/lord-andardus/notification-sound-chrome-joaoapps And a YouTube link: I tried copying and pasting the URLs in the specified option under the 'advanced' tab in the options, and instead of changing the sound it just mutes notifications entirely until I erase the URL in the option, then, in that case, it goes back to default. Is there a specific website I need to use to create "a publicly accessible URL of an .mp3 or .ogg file"?
The link needs to be to a direct file, not a web page where you can then listen to the file That's the issue with all the examples you provided. Luckily you can convert that google drive URL here: https://sites.google.com/site/gdocs2direct/ Using this as the url in Join settings will work: https://drive.google.com/uc?export=download&id=1oSwU2lriLJyIUJ-MOzB4pdmh5-QEuLQn Hope this helps!
you might want to add that information (visible when hovering over a [?]) to the chrome addon. Isn't intuitive otherwise
