AutoWear complication to call alternate watchface temporarily

So i'm trying to create a complication that when tapped opens an alternative watchface from the one set on my watch. I only want to look at the face temporarily, not set it as the face. Is this sort of thing possible? The alternate watchface displays data for a blood glucose app and is really not very pretty, but sometimes i want to see the full info on it.

An alternative solution for this could be to have the wanted watchface to operate like a tile. so i couold just swipe right and see it, then swipe left when i'm done looking to go back to my normal watchface. I already sorted the at a glance complication, so its really just a matter of when i want more info.

Any help on this idea would be great. The watchface i want has no complications, just the data it parses from a linked app on the phone. For those that are curious it is the Dexcom G6 app/watchface.
