I have a task that creates a dialog via AutoTools.
While that dialog is present I get a notification that says

    "AutoTools
    Tasker Action
    Running..."

    How can I disable this?

Go into Android Settings -> Apps -> AutoTools -> Notifications and disable the notification channel for that notification. Or long click the notification to do the same :)

Ah no settings outside the Android System itself for that one then? Darn.
I set it to the level where it doesn't show an icon in the status bar, then. That should work for my purposes.

In recent Android versions Google makes it mandatory for the users to be able to control notifications and not the apps. Glad it works for you!
