AutoTools JSON Read error ONLY when OpenVPN connected

The Json http url I’m using is ‘http://192.168.1.50/jc’.

My Home router has OpenVPN installed. I use it routinely to access to my local network when not at home.

On my device, whether OpenVPN is disconnected or not, accessing the above url in Chrome outputs the expected JSON response string with no issues.

AutoApps JSON Read however returns expected string only when OpenVPN is disconnected. When OpenVPN is connected, AutoApp JSON Read responds with this error: 993609806 ‘java.net.ConnectException: failed to connect to /192.168.1.50/jc’

What might I be doing wrong?
