I created a 4-button screen using Tasker, with the "Trigger Events" flag set to false. Had Tasker write the screen to the watch.
The buttons are supposed to execute commands locally on the watch, but they did not work. Nothing seems to happen.
So I edited the screen using the AutoWear applet on the phone, setting the Trigger Events to true, then resetting the Trigger events back to false.
    Now the commands work.
Could we be dealing with an uninitialized variable?

This workaround solved the same issue for me, thank you.
