    Hello!

I recently got a new phone, I retired my Galaxy S8+ to be my house WiFi/test phone. My new daily driver is a OnePlus 7 Pro.

I cannot for get them to have two separate identities. I've gone as far as uninstalling Join on both devices and then removing them on the https://joinjoaomgcd.appspot.com/ web interface. Then I'd reinstall on device (new phone first) and it would register, I'd rename it something more useful. After that I'd re-install Join on the old device and Join in the diagnostics would say the device is already registered and then the registered device name would take up the old device.

So, how can I get these two devices to have to separate registrations?

    Thanks!
    Dave

Did you by any chance copy one device to the other when you set it up?

    Thanks Joao!

I did not use like a Titanium backup. I used the migratory tool provided by OnePlus.

I'm guessing there something brewing here like a Device ID. I read about something similar yesterday but that person used a clone of an existing ROM onto another device. There was no solved solution ..

So what do I need to do now?

    Best Regards!

I'm not sure since I've never been in that situation before :( If the device ID was copied then it seems that the only thing that could solve it would be to factory reset the thing unfortunately...

Cool! I reset the old device! Just have to make sure I got everything I need off of it! Good to know!
