Hello, My car's BT tries to force happiness on me by sending "Media Play" command everytime I switch to BT. It triggers my default media player and starts playing music. It is a bit annoying - when I change volume the music starts, when I switch between radio and BT - the music starts... I've created this script in tasker/autoinput that partially solves the problem: Code (Text): Profile: Media Play (6) State: Media Button [ Button:Play Held Down:Off Grab:Off Stop Event:Off ] Enter: Blokada Grania (3) A1: AutoInput Modes [ Configuration:Key Suppress: Enable Keys: Media Play Timeout (Seconds):2 ] However it works only with the display ON. When the screen is off (and mostly is while I'm driving) the scripts doesn't work. Both tasker and autoinput are excluded from baterry saving. Android 7 on Nexus 5X, no root. Hope I'll find help here
Unfortunately AutoInput ins't able to intercept keys while the screen is off. It's an Android limitation. Sorry, wish I could help!
Also, the app media button router (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.harleensahni.android.mbr) reroutes the button to their own program, even when screen is off. NO ROOT IS NEEDED. Can you please add support for it?
Just curious if anything has changed over the years. It seems not since tasks still aren't launched when screen's off but just checkin
