I purchased AutoVoice today, and tried to link it to the AutoVoice skill on my Alexa but when I link it, it just says to close the window and alexa says that I haven't linked it when I ask her to do something. Is there something that I am missing?
Setup the link on a computer instead (through Alexa web interface). For some reason it is bugged when you try to link on phone. Once you setup the link via computer, everything will work
Yup, that worked. Thanks for the help Stupifier and Joao. Now to get on having my tablet and phone bend to my will through Alexa!
Before I get on a computer to do this, a question: my AutoVoice config on my android tablet is on a different email account than is my Alexa (former is yahoo, latter is gmail). Will it link? And if not, how do I go about moving all my Autoapp purchases from one account to the other?
I have a question regarding the Devices screen since I'm having a problem that the Alexa skill is enabled and says it's linked and doesn't work. In the Devices area it shows my Pixel XL device and nothing else. I noticed in your video example you had 3 devices showing up. Should I have 2 devices in mine, one being the phone itself and the Alexa? FYI the Amazon Echo is on a different account then AutoVoice...
In the devices screen you should only see your own phone, not the alexa. To link the account you have to sign-in to the autovoice web page with the same account you did when you signed in to the AutoVoice app. Did you do that?
You can use this page: http://alexa.amazon.com/spa/index.html#skills/dp/B01MS4F56O/?ref=skill_dsk_skb_sr_0
I did do this but as I said the Echo is on a different account then autovoice? I'm asking this because the last person who asked this question had the same problem and you said it should link no problem... Mine doesn't link... Is there a way to change my account on autovoice to match my amazon account?
yes, on the AutoVoice authorization page click the account picture and it should ask you for a different account.
It always wants to use the google account. I installed it off google play and it used my google account, that isn't what I'm using on Echo. You have 2 accounts in your video example, how do I add the second account. where is the Autovoice authorization page in settings? the closest place I see this is under devices and it keeps wanting to use my google account or create another google account. So how do I add the Echo account?
You don't actually need to use the echo account. As long as you're using the same google account in the authorization page and inside the AutoVoice app, it should work. Are you doing that already?
Joaomgcd Thanks for your quick responses to my problem. It works now and it was my own error. The software works fine. Great job Thanks Cordially Ron
Check it out: AutoVoice for Amazon Echo is available in the UK! https://plus.google.com/u/0/+JoĆ£oDias/posts/RJs9hF7yAvz And an extra tidbit as well
Hi. I have installed autovoice and tasker. I've linked my Amazon Echo to autovoice account via the web-page in the Alexa web app. The echo is not showing up in my devices list on the Android tablet.
