Disable tasks continue to run

I've had this problem a couple of times. When I'm testing my program, sometimes there are parts of it I don't want to run, i.e. a "say" command. So, I disable them. But, sometimes they continue to run even after I've disabled them. It's very annoying when I'm working on something and I get 6 results and I have to listen to it say a long list of whatever, when I'm trying to come up with the programing to narrow that list. Any ideas? I've cleared caches, and it still continues to run... Thanks in advance for the help...

 

Are you backing all the way out of Tasker after disabling an action? Not just hitting the Home, button, but actually hitting the Back button until you're out?
