Was using the Chrome extension but it often would be unable to send an SMS. Installed the Windows 10 app, but I can't get it to work - didn't see any instructions - can anyone point me in the right direction?
Hiya, I'm having a similar issue, but I am pretty sure that it is not a Join issue. Rather its probably an issue with my network. The odd thing is that I can receive notification on the Chrome extension when a new text arrives. But I cannot send a reply. Are the mechanisms different between incoming outgoing communications different? If I understand, messages are synced through Drive. Is that correct? So in my office, the wifi for our company PCs denies access to Drive. Whereas the wifi for our personal devices allows it. So, my phone gets a text, it sends it to Drive, and then the notification comes down from drive to my PC. Interesting that it will accept the message. To reply, my PC tries to send a message back up to Drive, but its blocked. Is there any way to weave AutoRemote into the process? That is to say, could Join be modified so that you have the option of syncing through Drive or Autoremote?
Communication is not done through Google Drive. Google Drive simply acts as a storage facility for your SMS. Notifications are sent through push messages (same as AutoRemote). If your PC can receive the messages but your phone can't, it means that something is wrong with the connection on your phone. Can you please try running diagnostics on it when this happens? Thanks.
