I'm unable to get Google Now integration to work with my voice command. I was able to get it to work in continuous mode (although nothing I did stopped the beeping). But Google Now won't work. I have double checked that tasker is enabled in accessibility as is Google Now integration. But the same command that works in continuous does not work in Google Now (and yes, I checked to make sure continuous wasn't set as the source).
My phone is a Pixel XL with the most recent security patch. I'd be willing to use continuous if the beeping could be stopped without breaking my alarm or music, but since muting either stream didn't stop it it really doesn't work out. I really want something always on (one of the things I want to do is to be able to ask "where are you" and have it beep without having to go to my laptop).

I take it you're keeping an eye for when Google opens up the Phone version of the assistant to 3rd party apps. Then we would not have to use the IFTTT workaround.
