Open Turn off pictures in notifications

I use Join on my mobile and chromebook. I mostly use it to mirror my phone notifications on my Chromebook. However, whenever there are any pictures in the notifications, they get backed up in my Google Drive, and hence flow down into my Google Photos. I do not want that. I do not want to see any notification pictures, or even better, if these just don't get backed up, that will be really helpful. Is there a way to solve this problem?
