So I am finally getting a car stereo with a genuine Android OS on it. (4.4.4)

I am very interested in using Tasker and AutoVoice with it. My question is, what can I do to get autovoice to lock the doors or roll the windows down?

Can any of you suggest an OBD device I need that can accomplish this?

Looking more into this I have discovered an app called Carista. This shows massive potential if paired with Autovoice and Autoinput. Ultimately I want to be able to tell the car to roll up the windows, or lock the doors, etc.

Have any of you ever done this?

I don't think that kind of control is possible. Generally, head units, especially 3rd party, don't have much control over the rest of the car. I'm 99% sure that you'll be limited to controlling the head unit itself.

I disagree. Since creating this thread I did some research on this.

Look into Viper Auto Security. You can control the car locks and windows etc with a smartphone. Having said that, you can use AutoInput and autovoice to control the app to make the doors lock or windows roll down.
