Open Asynchronous triggering from IFTTT

I'd like to set up an IFTTT -> Tasker command to trigger an intent on a phone app. I can set this up via Join readily enough, but my concern is that if my phone isn't available, the command will fail and I won't have any other method to handle it.

Is there a way to "cache" the commands if Tasker isn't available in order to process it, it will just sit and wait until it makes the connection? Does that happen automatically and this is an unnecessary question?

 

So, how would that work for me, then? I'm intrigued. Would node-red be able to check whether my phone's available and do something to dispatch the action?

 

Firstly - the asynchronous triggering works perfectly. I can fire off an event via Join, and it happily sends a share intent via Tasker to an app on my phone. Phenomenal.
