AutoInput Autoinput action on paste disabled field

Couldn't do write action on a field that has paste action disabled. Is paste being disabled a problem for write action?

Recording through root option is also not working. I'm using Nexus 6P - stock 6.0.1 rooted

 

The Write action is really a pseudonym for copy/paste. It copies what you want to write to the clipboard, then pastes to the field. If paste is is disabled for the field, it won't work.

Android security prevents one app from directly writing to another.
