AutoVoice Continuous keeps turning itself on

Ive been having trouble with the "Control Continuous" feature of Autovoice. Basically this is what is happening:
Its disable, and I can access Google Assistant, and fire off Autovoice commands from that using "ok google, tell Autovoice to start doing something"... this works fine. However , once the command is executed, "Control Continuous" turns itself on, and then "Google now" is intercepted as a command and I can no longer use the assistant. I then turn it back off again via the autovoice app. but it keeps rearming itself. Any tips?
