Open Extra copy of me in SMS Messages

    How do I prevent an extra copy of me in my SMS messages? I have entered my own phone number and I thought that was supposed to eliminate this problem, but sometimes I still see myself duplicated in Join messages. How do I prevent this so that when I reply to a message, the recipient only sees my once in the conversation, not as 2 different contacts, or when I see the conversation in Join, there are just the 2 people - myself and one other - rather than 3 with 2 of me?

    Hhmm, I wasn't aware that was happening. Is that with MMS or with regular SMS messages?
