AutoInput Gestures and taps (real or emulated) working at the same time?

Hi all, as I understand when gestures mode is enabled in Autoinput, the screen is totally unresponsive to touch (e.g. taps and swipes) and that is reasonable. However I notice that also emulated taps are not passed through to the UI. My use case is following: I want to use gestures to emulate taps and pass those taps to 3rd party app that is running on the phone. Is this doable? Is there some other "gesture mode" that does not suppress input taps, or some other way to send taps from tasker that would be delivered under gesture mode. Android 7 stock, non-rooted. Thanks
