Solved Hangouts Reply - Input Text

    When a Hangouts Message is pushed to a device, there is a Reply button available. Pressing this button will simulate pressing the Reply button on the original device.

    Instead, would it be possible to actually get a Text Input field when you press Reply.......so people can remotely reply to Hangouts messages (just like they do with SMS messages)?

    Yes, but you'll have to install the Android Wear app. It seems backwards, I know, but that's the way Google implemented it in hangouts :)

    Do you think you can explain a bit more....I am completely unfamiliar with Android Wear App. Do I just install that, and magically everything will work....or is there some tinkering/settings I have to make??? And do I need some Wear AutoApp as well???

    Yeah, you don't even have to open it I don't think. Just have it installed and a new "Reply Directly" button should appear in the Join notification :)

    I know it's weird :p But google only include reply info in the notification if the Android Wear app is installed.

    Whenever I use the Hangouts Direct Reply, it sends the message TWICE! Its really weird. I'm not sure whats going on. Any idea/help?
