First off I'm completely new to both Tasker and AutoApps, so please bare with me.

I have a need to keep a specific application awake by performing a gesture every 5 minutes. I'd heard of Tasker and considered that would do the job with the addition of the AutoInput plugin from AutoApps.

I need to have the task execute only when my specific application is running, perform the gesture every 5 minutes until either I stop the task or exit the specific application. I've tried the documentation from both Tasker and AutoApps and simply cannot figure this out.

Any help or ideas will be hugely appreciated.

    Regards
    Andrew

Have you checked if the swipe action actually works on the app you're trying to interact with? It doesn't always work on all apps :) Thanks

Hi, thanks for the extremely quick response, thats fantastic support.

Yes, the app does support swipe gestures. It force closes after 5 minutes if no activity is detected, a simple swipe counts as activity so I simply need to perform a swipe every 4 minutes 50 seconds or so to keep it awake.

Sounds easy but I can't make head nor tail of it

    No problem :)

I meant if you had tried to actually perform a swipe with AutoInput on it. The app may not support AutoInput's method of scrolling.

Ahh, no I hadn't actually got that far. I'll have another try and let you know if I figure it out.
