AutoTools Invalid JSON array

I keep getting this error on an site I'm doing a JSON Read on:

Input is not valid JSON data: A JSONArray text must start with '[' at 1 [character 2 line 1]

I get the error even when I cut/paste the JSON data into a file and point Json Read to that file instead.

Just FYI it is valid JSON (I checked with a JSON validator). The site is behind a login, but I could PM you the cut/paste if that would be helpful. Thanks.
