Open Join receives texts on Chrome normally, but won't send until screen is turned on

So I have a weird issue that's popped up recently.

When I receive a text, it'll pop up in my Chrome browser as it should. When I reply and hit send, the textbox goes away but the notification still remains and the text doesn't send (like it's pending or something). It'll usually remain stuck like this until I turn on the phone screen by hitting a button, then Join sends as normal.

The weird part is that it comes and goes, sometimes it gets stuck like this and sometimes not.
