I'm posting new thread for this topic because other threads with the same topic did not provide any information to solve my problem. I coded the Kill App as explained in the video of the same name. The Kill App works fine if the Force Stop field is highlighted. If the Force Stop field is dimmed, Autoinput just hangs. I've tried selecting "Continue Task After Error" tp no avail. The app I'm attempting to kill, has been force stopped if the Force Stop field is dimmed. Is there any way to test if the Force Stop field is highlighted or dimmed? If I could test for that condition, I could terminate the Kill App gracefully.

I'm using a Pixel phone with Android 8.1.0. Any suggestions for fixing the problem are greatly appreciated.
