AutoVoice Listening to Google Maps navigation voice commands

I've just downloaded AutoVoice and am trying it out - loving the possibilities and implementation of regex!

Unfortunately AutoVoice doesn't appear to be able to listen in for voice commands given in the Google Maps navigation (satnav) window - I'm presuming these aren't directed via Google Now, but are internally directed to Google's servers. Commands spoken here also don't appear online in Google's voice & audio log.

Any ideas on how to use voice commands given while using the satnav? I was hoping to do something simple like verbally play music, skip tracks that are already playing etc. Is there any way of passing commands given in navigation to Google Now?

If you have any ideas of how this could be accomplished, in or out of AutoVoice, I'd be interested to hear them.
