I've had an issue with messages disappearing. At first it was only from a group text I have with my roommates. In at least one case I sent a message which was received by the others but didn't show up for me in join's chrome extension or on my phone. In other cases messages I read were suddenly missing from my phone and join.

More recently I noticed an issue in an SMS thread. I had been sent some images by a colleague which I was going to download later. When I returned to the thread only one of the three images he sent were there. I had seen the images in the thread previously so I know it wasn't a case where I never received them.

Hi there. So do you mean that messages are disappearing from the phone itself? Since Join can't modify the SMS database on your device (since it's not the default SMS app on it and only those can modify the SMS database) it must be something in your SMS app that's doing that... Sorry, I really don't think I can be of much help :(

It may be my SMS app, which is Googles default "Messages" app, but as soon as I uninstall Join everything works correctly. So even if it's the SMS app causing the problem, the problem doesn't get triggered until Join interacts with it.

For now I've uninstalled Join because I just had another important missed meeting today due to an MMS/group text that never got delivered to me properly. It's a great app and I appreciate the time you put in but I do feel disappointed to have purchased something that I can't use. Is there an SMS app you know of that doesn't have this issue with MMS/group messages?

Unfortunately I really don't know if it's related to the messaging app or if it's the Android OS itself that has trouble when more than one app handles SMS messages... Can you faithfully replicate the behaviour? Or is seemingly random?

I wish I could be of more help but when I had Join installed it seemed related to MMS messages in particular, either group messages or an image attached to an SMS thread. Other than that I don't remember there being much in the way of a pattern.
