Nearby Device - Does it require Internet/data connection?

    Just like the title says....Curious if Join uses a different means of communicating with devices which are nearby

    Purpose: Two devices. One with data and one without. Both in my pocket. I would like to communicate using Join in order to trigger various requests. I want the No-Data device to send a trigger to the Data-Device.

    Nearby in Join is used simply to start device discovery and send device share requests. All pushes are still pushes through the internet.
